Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Yogesh Gahlot (“we”, “us”) for use of the Æshar app. By downloading or using Æshar, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Æshar is — and is not

Æshar is an astrology and self-reflection app intended for personal insight and entertainment. Its content is generated by artificial intelligence and is offered for reflection only. It is not professional advice. Nothing in Æshar is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or relationship advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or need help, contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Æshar. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Æshar offers a free tier (Glimpse) and optional paid subscriptions (Gaze and Vigil) and add-ons, sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your Apple account settings. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

Consumable purchases (such as a Deep Field reading or a Glimpse Pack) are delivered immediately and are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's policies.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the app: don't attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to it or the services behind it, don't use it to break the law, and don't try to circumvent usage limits or device-integrity checks.

5. Your content

The chart data and reflections you enter stay on your device as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the information you provide. You retain any rights you have in what you write; we claim no ownership of it.

6. Our content

The app, its name, brand, design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. AI-generated readings are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use.

7. Availability

We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. Readings depend on third-party services (including Apple and Anthropic) and an internet connection; we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose. Astrological content is inherently interpretive and for entertainment and reflection only.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or for any decisions you make based on its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Apple

Æshar is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content, but Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these terms against you. Your use is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located there, unless your local consumer law requires otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
